“Goddess Energy” Exhibition by Ardis Moonlight
Now at Shine

This series of handmade felt is the artist's heartfelt response to the goddess energy of the past and the present. Ardis Moonlight has been part of several women’s spirituality groups and has learned much about how women become empowered when they gather together in a circle, create their own rituals, and honor the holiness of earth and all beings upon this planet.

This work is also inspired with prehistoric rock paintings in Libya, two wonderful books—Women Who Run with the Wolves, and The Language of the Goddess, and a visit to Font-de-Gaume in southwestern France where she felt the presence of the sacred with the ancient cave paintings.

Artist, Ardis Moonlight received a B.F.A. from the University of Louisville in 1999, and has had work in area juried and invitational exhibitions, as well as group and solo exhibits. She has received a grant for felt making from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, a residency scholarship at the Mary Anderson Center artist colony to create felt pieces, and awards for photography and painting.

Shine is a wellness studio devoted to nurturing a graceful life through movement, music and fun. ART AT SHINE creates four exhibits each year changing seasonally. The art that we show is chosen to illuminate the healing that art provides in both the artist and the viewer.
