Linda Erzinger presents a visionary view of the natural world. Her longtime passion of collecting discarded objects facilitates her latest series of work exploring environmentalism. She is expanding her use of found objects to include the material debris of her daily life, previously thought too small to be saved, to inform and enhance her artistic expressions. Linda includes more and more recycled or reused objects as a deepening of her statement on the societal transitions she sees as necessary for ecological sustainability.
Linda is moving from more traditional two dimensional mediums such as watercolor and pastel into shadowboxes with reverse painted glass, and integrated media on discarded acrylic glass. Her paintings and collages become three dimensional as she works of both sides on the transparent plexiglas, leaving voids for the viewer to see the surface behind the work.
